The perennial best-selling compact car undergoes a total overhaul for the 2022 model year. The new Honda Civic seeks to retain its market dominance as America's annual favorite compact car as it refreshes its exterior, updates the powertrains, and improves its safety features.

It is now available in two body styles, sedan or hatchback and, six trim levels; LX sedan, Sport sedan, LX hatchback, Sport hatchback, EX sedan, EX-L hatchback, Sport Touring hatchback, and Touring sedan.

Powertrain Options and Fuel Economy

In 2022, the Honda Civic comes in two powertrain options; a naturally aspirated engine and a four-cylinder turbo engine. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine delivers 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. It is connected with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) while its predecessor's manual transmission gets sidelined for the sedan. The Civic is also solely available in front-wheel drive.

An optional 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that emits 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque is available. It is an upgrade as its predecessor has six horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque less engine transmission. The 2022 Civic hatchback still has a six-speed manual transmission, but it's optional for the Sport trim.

Base model Honda Civic sedans earn excellent fuel economy ratings of 31 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. The 2.0-liter Honda Civic Sport sedan gets 30/37mpg in the city and highway. Touring and EX sedans with the 1.5-liter engine boast a fuel economy of 31/38mpg and 33/42mpg, respectively.

2022 Honda Accord Hybrid

The five-seater Honda Accord Hybrid comes in four trims for the 2022 model year: the Hybrid Base, Sport, EX-L, and the Touring trim. The new Accord Sport trim replaces the EX-trim while the front-wheel-drive is standard. The sedan also has a robust powertrain and excellent fuel economy in its segment.

Powertrain Options and Fuel Economy

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder Hybrid engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission that generates 212 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque powers the midsize sedan. You can accelerate the machine from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds on Hanover roads.

The Accord Hybrid surpasses its closest class rivals which attain the speed in seven-plus seconds. The midsize sedan has a fuel-efficient drivetrain too. The EPA ratings are 48 mpg in the city, 47 mpg on the highway, and 47  mpg when combined.

2022 Honda Insight

The Honda Insight is a compact sedan like its sibling, the Honda Civic, but with a potent gas-electric powertrain, thus boasting an improved fuel economy. The LX trim gets discontinued for the 2022 model year, and the base model is the EX-trim, while the top trim is the Touring Trim.

Powertrain and Fuel Economy

The EX and Touring trim possess a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine which provides power to an electric motor powering the front wheels. It generates 151 horsepower, and you can accelerate from 0-60 mph within 7.7 seconds.

Your Honda Insight can solely run with the electric motor within a mile when you drive at minimal speeds in Hanover. If you need quick acceleration afterward, the gas engine is available to propel your Honda Insight spontaneously.

The 2022 Honda Insight EX trim gets an EPA fuel economy rating of 55/49 mpg in the city and highway, while the Touring trim boasts 51/45 mpg in the city and highway, respectively. If you do stop-and-go driving in Hanover, you can attain a better fuel economy since Hybrid vehicles boast higher ratings in city driving.

2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid

Boasting roomy seating and agile handling, the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid is an ideal choice for you if you want a Hybrid fuel-efficient Honda in Hanover. All-wheel-drive comes standard alongside improved Honda Sensing safety tech features. It is available in three trims in 2022: the Hybrid EX-L, Hybrid Touring, and Hybrid EX.
