Hanover Trolley Trail

The Hanover Trolley Trail is a 3.5-mile peaceful walking trail that extends along the former York-Hanover Trolley Line. The original trolley line opened in 1908 and connected residents of outlying communities, such as Sunnyside, Bairs, Menges Mills, and Jacobs Mill, with Spring Grove and Hanover. As automobiles became more popular, the trolley line closed in 1938. Construction on the current 3.5-mile stretch of trail was completed in 2013. Today, joggers, bikers, and families looking for pleasant outings together can enjoy the crushed-stone trail and peacefully travel between towns on this often clear path.

Habitats within the park range from meadows and forests to streams and ponds. You may find wildlife such as snapping turtles and wood ducks.
